St Columba's School

At the time we started working with the school and our client, the Catholic Diocese of Hamilton, the school was at the rear of the site with failing buildings and services, not to mention low visibility from the road, making it hard to attract prospective students.

Our solution consisted of relocating the entire school to the front of the site, where it had maximum public exposure. As a part of this development, a new administration building with library, IT Suite and staff facilities was built along with 5 new classrooms, and the best of the existing classroom buildings relocated onto what was the existing playing fields. The old site was then leveled and new playing fields formed.

Since this first stage, we have been involved in the construction of a new multi-purpose hall, which is used as a gymnasium and assembly hall. The community now has a state-of-the-art school, which makes a clear and unique statement about the school and its values.
